How to Become a Math Maniac:
1. Practice your Math Facts in a Flash Drills EVERY DAY!
2. Get a Perfect Score on as many tests as you can.
Every day, we will do a Math Facts Practice Drill. We start by having 5 minutes to complete it, then 4 on the next day, then 3 minutes, then 2. We correct the drills together every day during the week. On the last day of the week- usually Friday- we do the Drill as a Test, with a serious time limit. It will usually be 3 minutes, but sometimes two. We turn in the Tests, and a grown-up grades them over the weekend. Every boy or girl who gets a Perfect Score on the Test gets a sticker on the class chart. There are prizes for boys and girls who keep getting perfect scores. These are the prizes:
Level 1: Pass 6 Tests? Get a Certificate of Awesome and a Mega Stamp to keep!!
Level 2: Pass every Test between A.R. Assemblies? You're a Math Maniac! Your name will go up in the cafeteria and you will get a prize form Mrs. Doss (perhaps one of those cool blue "Math Maniacs" T-Shirts! WOW!!)!
Level 3: Pass every single level all year? Win a seat at our Super Math Maniac Pizza Party at the end of the year!
